Sangngak Rinpoche. What Matters at the Beginning, Middle, and End (2023)
An in-person Dzogchen teaching by Sangngak Tenzin Rinpoche on what matters most at the beginning, middle, and end of practice: taking refuge as the foundation, bodhichitta as the motivation, and the resolve to use this precious human life to reveal our innate awakened state in this very life. Rinpoche also speaks on inner freedom, cutting through anxious thoughts with the sword of awareness, and resting in the happiness of the present moment.

The Ground. The Path to the Nature of Mind. Tatyana Chernigovskaya, Konstantin Anokhin, Sangnak Rinpoche
We present a new film from the series "The Path to the Nature of Mind" (project author and director Andrian Melnikov). In May 2023, in the Nepali capital of Kathmandu, the Russian scientists Tatyana Vladimirovna Chernigovskaya and Konstantin Vladimirovich Anokhin held a conversation with the renowned Dzogchen master Sangngak Tenzin Rinpoche.
The conversation was devoted to the "ground", or the view, from the famous Dzogchen triad: ground, path and fruition. In the Dzogchen tradition, the view means that all phenomena are primordially pure and devoid of objective existence.
The participants touched on such fundamental questions as the nature of the "I", the relationship between dualistic and non-dual perception of reality, the nature of language, and the importance of investigating and understanding a person's inner world and the emotions they experience.
The film closes with a notable postscript in which Tatyana Chernigovskaya and Konstantin Anokhin sum up the conversation with the Dzogchen master, outlining directions for further discussions, which will be devoted to the two other foundational themes — the path and its result (the fruition).
